Suited
Today is our 12th anniversary, 27 years together and we are just as well suited for each other as ever. We (independently) bought the same card for each other to recognize the day and express our appreciation for what we have together. After a delightful dinner at Wink we walked up to Waterloo records and browsed their recent acquisitions of used vinyl. Now we are home listening to Jimi Hendrix and enjoying a nice view of Austin at night.
As much as we are compatible, our differences keep things interesting.
Fall is coming
It doesn’t feel like it yet, but the end of summer is approaching.
Although we continue to endure excessive heat and the threat of power outages, there are subtle signs that this won’t go on forever. Our high temperatures are still over 100, but not over 105 as they were a few weeks ago. The evenings have a pleasant breeze and the pecan trees are heavy with fruit. Fall is coming and none too soon.
